Important Information

To request an item, click here.
- I don't make anything until it's paid for. The reason for this is because I get several orders per day that are marked to be paid with check or money order, and then nothing ever arrives. There have also been, especially in recent history, a lot of people who say "I would like [x]." and then never pay for it, and two months later they ask if I've made it, and then are mad at me when I don't remember who they are when they can't present a transaction ID number.
- Please don't contact me over facebook regarding an order, be it already ordered, something you want to order, or an item request. Even if you're commenting to ask me, it can be awkward and spammy for other people who comment or click like. I try to use facebook for announcement and generalized questions only. If you have a question about an order or possible order, email me at cosplay@moonprism.com.
- If I don't get back to you within a week, email me again. It's possible you got lost in my spam filter, and if for some reason I'm not replying to your email after you've tried sending it three times, you're welcome to write on my facebook wall or email me on youtube.
- Telling me you want something is not placing an order. If all you've done is email me to tell me you want something and can pay for it when you get paid in 2 weeks, that's not the same as paying for something or going through the checkout process. Unless you have a transaction ID number, you've not placed an order. If you want to order something but don't get paid until a couple of weeks, I'm happy to send you a bill over Paypal, which generates a transaction ID number, and counts as placing an order.
- Transaction ID numbers OR cart order numbers are generally how I identify people/orders. I talk to a lot of people every day and a lot of times, I will recognise names but there are times when I don't. Please don't take it personally.
- I use the United States Postal Service to ship domestically and internationally. I am located in Salem, Missouri, United States. In most cases will ship Priority 1-3 day if the shipping address is domestic. If international, I will ship first class unless it's a large item and I've chosen to force insurance. If I force insurance, your package will be shipped Priority.
- It is important to refer to the creation times on the website to get a gauge on when your order will be shipped before you place the order. If you need something in a week and the creation time is 5 days, it's unlikely you'll have the item in time. Always buy your cosplay accessories months in advance if at all possible. Not just from me, but from all prop and costume makers.
- I am unlikely to sell on eBay.
I used to sell exclusively on eBay, but that was quite a long time ago. Since then, eBay has wildly inflated their prices and seem to charge sellers for everything. Not only are their selling fees (listing fees, final closing costs) steep, they bought Paypal and charge a fee for the payment, and they do not allow any other payments - PAYPAL ONLY. That allows them to collect double the fees. On top of this, they have changed their policies so that sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers, which means people can bid items up and never pay for them and there's nothing the seller can do about it.
RETURN POLICY
Because people often intend only to use an item once for a con or for Halloween, I get many people telling me they want to return the items for a refund after a couple weeks. You cannot check things out and return them when you're finished with them. Each package will have a tracking code on it, which will tell me when the item was delivered to you. You have 3 business days (Monday-Friday) from the time the item arrived to contact me about your reason for wanting to return the item.
1. If the item has arrived broken, that's not a problem. USA packages all have insurance, so we can file a claim with the USPS and get you a refund. However, the USPS will only grant a refund if you return the item to them so that they can destroy it. A lot of times, a customer will still want the item as well as their money back. This what Paypal refers to as "double jeopardy". Basically it means that you want to have your broken item and a refund because it's broken - probably with the intent of fixing the item and still having your money. This is highly unfair to sellers because the USPS will not refund the buyer for a broken item if the item is not given to them, and then the buyer demands a refund from the seller. In fact, Paypal keeps very close tabs on this and will side with the seller and revoke the buyer's account if a buyer attempts this. When an item arrives broken but you still want the item, your best bet is to let the USPS process your refund, and then use that refund to buy the item again. Unfortunately, this starts the entire creation process over. If you don't want to do this, I am happy to give you advice on how to repair an item.
2. If I have sent you the wrong item, you can send the incorrect item back to me for an exchange or a full refund (I will also refund you for the shipping cost of the return only if you have chosen the cheapest method of shipping as well as delivery confirmation! I am also known to just send replacements without expecting a return from the customer if I've sent the wrong item, since normally the only mix-ups have to do with tiaras or earrings.
3. If you receive your item and are unhappy with it, you can return the item to me for a full refund. You must get delivery confirmation (tracking code) on the return package and it must be dated within 3 days of its initial arrival to you. Example: Item delivered at your address 10/20/2009. Tracking must show it being in transit to me no later than 10/24/2009. If you will be out of town during the estimated delivery time, let me know beforehand so that we can make other arrangements!
